Parent & Tot
The first step into gymnastics for parents/guardians and toddlers (up to 2 years) is a fun and engaging experience designed to introduce young children to the world of movement in a safe and playful environment.
Qualified coaches are present to guide and oversee the activities, ensuring that the equipment is used safely and providing tips on how to encourage motor skill development. However, the primary responsibility for supervision remains with the attending adult, who actively participates by helping their child navigate the equipment and explore new movements.
The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, focusing on allowing the toddlers to move at their own pace while developing coordination, balance, and confidence. It's also a great opportunity for parents and guardians to bond with their children, meet other families, and enjoy a playful morning in a supportive community setting

Pre-School
Pre-school gymnastics (2-4 years) is a structured, coach-led class that introduces children to basic gymnastics skills in a fun and supportive environment. Led by experienced coaches, the class follows a carefully designed curriculum that focuses on developing fundamental motor skills, coordination, balance, and strength.
Throughout the session, the coaches provide clear instructions and demonstrations, encouraging the children to participate and try new movements. They also ensure that each child is engaged and having fun, offering positive reinforcement and support.
Parents are welcome to view the session from the spectator area, where they can watch their children's progress and cheer them on. While parents are not required to actively participate, they must remain on-site in case their child needs accompaniment to the bathroom, ensuring safety and comfort for all participants.

Recreational
Recreational sessions offer an hour of active, skill-building fun. These sessions cater to different age groups through the "Little Star" and "Junior Star" classes, each designed to progressively develop gymnastic skills and work towards the YMGC Star Awards levels 8 to 1.
In Little Star classes, younger children focus on mastering fundamental movements and basic gymnastics techniques, such as jumping, rolling and balancing. Junior Star classes are aimed at slightly older or more advanced children, where the emphasis is on refining these skills and introducing more complex skills.
While the children are fully involved in the activities, parents and guardians can stay throughout the session, but they must remain in the designated spectator area. This allows the children to focus on the coach's guidance and build their independence.

Competitive
Gymnasts who attend sessions between 2 and 6 hours per week are engaged in a training program focused on developing more advanced gymnastics skills and preparing for both local and national competitions. These sessions are designed for dedicated athletes who have progressed beyond recreational gymnastics and are committed to mastering higher-level techniques.

Under the guidance of experienced coaches, gymnasts work on refining complex skills. The focus is on perfecting form, increasing strength, and improving precision and consistency in execution.
In addition to skill development, these sessions also include mental preparation and strategy, essential for competition success. Gymnasts learn to perform under pressure, develop routines that meet competition standards, and build the confidence needed to compete at higher levels.

Inclusive
Inclusive open gymnastics sessions for children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), Special Educational Needs (SEN), or Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) offer a welcoming and supportive environment where every child can experience the joy of movement. These sessions are designed to accommodate the unique needs of each participant, providing a space where children can explore gymnastics in a way that is comfortable and enjoyable for them.
Held in a fully accessible gym, the sessions are overseen by qualified coaches who are experienced in working with children of all abilities.
Families are encouraged to stay with their child throughout the session, providing comfort and support as needed. This allows parents and caregivers to actively participate in their child's experience, helping them navigate the equipment and encouraging them to try new activities.

Squad
Gymnasts training up to 15 hours per week are part of an elite squad focused on achieving excellence in local, national, and international competitions. These gymnasts are dedicated athletes who are committed to mastering the rigorous demands of women's artistic gymnastics, competing within the various British Gymnastics competitive pathways.
Gymnasts work intensively on perfecting advanced skills and routines across all apparatus, focusing on the technical precision, strength, and artistry that define women's artistic gymnastics.
